  1. The advertisements I got from the adware are for filehippo, and although you can download from it, it is not trustworthy and is still dangerous.
  2. Hi, your welcome, but I still need help reporting filehippo.com to MalwareBytes and other antivirus companies. Also, how do I make sure that the PUP is actually gone?
  3. Hi, this all started when I downloaded M.U.G.E.N. from a website called filehippo.com, I know that the adware comes from the site because the literal pop-ups direct to that website. My computer does not seem to show any symptoms of the virus, as they say that said adware alters settings on Chrome or installs random apps, which I have not detected
  4. Hi, I would send a sample if I could but sadly, the file infected is a personal file containing images of my family... Thanks though for the help!
  5. So, here's how I found it... Filehippo.com is where I believe the adware came from. It is not entirely new as I also saw some guy trying to troubleshoot it. Windows Security detected it and every time I try to remove it, it stays. NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRY CONTAIN IT, IT NEVER WORKS!!! I also resorted to see if AI knows how and it just said to use adware blockers or task killers... Even AdwareCleaner doesn't detect it...
