I believe I have accidentally downloaded a virus or Trojan after running a setup.exe mistakenly.
Now my laptop gets very loud and is quite slow. The virus closes any antivirus I've tried to download and also does not let me open frst64 saying "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator".
When I use usb file transfer from my phone I am able to open frst64 briefly before the virus closes it. I have tried safe mode which finally lets my computers fan stop spinning but the same problems apply.
I am unable to connect to WiFi even though I use safe mode with networking and usb tethering does not work. However, WiFi and usb tethering works when I am on normal windows.
Would I be best off resetting it?
Could anyone help me in this situation?
