  1. Porthos - Both drivers installed, so far, so good. Do you mind if we break at this point? Need to prepare to travel out of town for the holidays. The Christmas cookies are not finished and the pies await! I should return on or about Dec 27 - 28. Thank you vey much for your help, all is looking good with this machine so far! Merry Christmas!
  2. Imacri - thank you for your input. KB5033372 installed on 17 Dec and KB5032339 installed on 19 Dec, OS build 19045-3803 confirmed.
  3. It's been a hectic day today, holiday preparations keep interfering with our discussion. I will try to get back to this tomorrow, if not, for sure Wednesday morning. Thanks for your patience!
  4. The items listed under "Other Devices" have no drivers installed. According to a post I found, these drivers are required: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Software-and-How-To-Questions/PCI-Data-Acquisition-and-Signal-Processing-Controller/td-p/7955420 HP 17t-bs000 CTO Device Manager Screen Shot Dec 17, 2023.docx
  5. Sorry 'bout that... HP Laptop Model # 17t-bs000 CTO Purchased new and received on 8/10/17 Registered with HP on 8/14/2017 Checked the support page after the clean install several days ago. After entering the model number, a list of drivers appeared. Some were older than my machine, so I chose a feature on the site that scanned the computer to determine if new drivers are needed. The results indicated that none were. Checking driver update via Device Manager has never yielded very good results for me. After searching for an updated driver, the standard reply has always been that the best driver is installed. What do you think? mbst-grab-results.zip
  6. I'm going to have to break away, but I will down and post when I return. Thank you very much.,
  7. Hello Porthos, thank you for responding. Is there a way to edit a post? I meant to describe the issue as 100% Disk usage.
  8. This occurs most often when I sign into windows 10 home HP Laptop (Ver. 2H22 - OS Build 19045-2965). The computer slows to a crawl and becomes unresponsive. Checking Task Manager indicates the MWB is at 100% CPU. It alternates this condition with Google Chrome. After several minutes, the system returns to a normal state, but then acts up again at random. Not sure what causing this phenomenon, however; I was wondering if I should disable Windows Defender, but my Alienware desktop Windows Pro computer does not have the same problem and works well with Windows Defender. Anyone have any ideas how to troubleshoot this issue? This has been plaguing me for many months. I initiated a clean windows install yesterday and it is still occurring.
