BTW
a feature at this forum that let one edit one's posts would be nice, and without this 'time out' which is crazy -
working now, Defender scheduled scans on also

I can switch on Defender
The real question is, after the ransom attack and disk restore
WHY/How did / does Malwarebytes break Windows 10 x64 browser DNS
-
Web Protection seems to work now
After a Malwarebytes update -
Windows Defender is off because Malwarebytes is installed
Virus & threat protection settings: No action needed.
"You're using other antivirus providers."
Real-time protection off (from defender)WHY is Web Protection crashing my browser DNS ???? in

Real-time protection off (from defender, using real time from Malwarebytes)?
Supposed to be off? -
FYI
This will allow you to uninstall bl;

I think this fixed my Malwarebytes 'Web Protection' DNS problems
These are leftovers from who knows what installation
Fingers crossed ... -

"mbst-grab-results.zip can be found on your desktop. Please provide this file to Malwarebytes Support."
There is no mbst-grab-results.zip in my Desktop ... ??
How is that? -
Webprotection crashes my DNS, freezes computer, and crackling Audio
First I noticed crackling Audio, after weeks of random trying I figured Malwarebytes might be the problem, off improved Audio, but slowly crackling would return.
Today has DNS problems, only PC with Malwarebytes running, then PC freezes, some random testing, try turning Off Malwarebytes, DNS starts working. Then only Web Protection OFF, DNS OK, then again ON but Browser plugin OFF, in Firefox AND Chrome, Not OK.
It's the Web Protection .......?

FYI
Malwarebytes could not get my PC 100% in order, but no 'infection'.
I think a deeper hidden infection was 1/2 cured but kept popping up adding registry entries but nothing got infected, but what happened for instance were those Browser DNS problems, which is something Malwarebytes should look in to.
I finally restored a backup from over 3 months ago, which is a nuisance, but, the PC seems OK now, I appear to have restored to a state before bad thinks creep-ed in.
Malwarebytes still immediately found over a dozen browser PUP's, 'bitcoin miners', in a supposed clean Chrome, how sick is that.
Malwerebytes isn't perfect but it's the best available.
