  1. I just want to thank you for all the help in getting my machine squared away. You really went above and beyond to make sure I was back to better than before!
  2. Thank you for all the assistance. I did all the updates. Windows update is prepared to install Windows 11. I do not have enough disk space on my C drive. I was thinking of getting a bigger drive and moving my OS to the larger drive and then upgrading.
  3. Finally! Took a while. I had to restart MSERT, so I think there are two entries. msert.log SecurityCheck.txt
  4. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Working an early overtime shift all week. I will get to this as soon as possible
  5. Sorry, I forgot to mention, I did uninstall Secure from Frontier after I created the logfiles.
  6. Thank you so much with your help! Here are the files. I was able to disable in services, but that is all I did. Addition.txt FRST.txt Search.txt
  7. You might be on to something. I found the entry in FRST for Connectwise. I found it in the directory. It was installed at precisely the time I was online with the cybercriminal. I just need to find out how to uninstall.
  8. I Uninstalled McAfee, but cannot find screenconnect. It is not listed in programs and features.
  9. Here is the file. They attempted to hijack my computer right after I collected it mbst-grab-results.zip
  10. Hi, new to the forums. My wife got a phone call and subsequently an email with an invoice from a fake Geek Squad account. She called the number and downloaded the .exe they sent her. She called me before they completed their scam, but not before they got t least some information and installed spyware on my computer. I installed Malwarebytes and it didn't detect the spyware. We cancelled our credit cards, but they tried to buy gift cards on Amazon. Yesterday I started my computer and they tried to do a fake "windows update" and the cursor started moving. I immediately shut down. My problem is, I need to remove whatever it is that is allowing them access. I have never experienced a problem like this and do not know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated
