If something does go wrong, you mentioned I should keep a screenshot of the "key" just in case. Does that mean there is somewhere in the MB program that I can type in the license key and it'll be accepted and I can just carry on using it?

  6. Porthos - this will be an upgrade on my existing 8.1 PC. I have been on several forums and corresponding with the makers of various programs and the majority advise that many "applications" will not migrate - they must be re-installed into the new OS therefore creating a risk of having to re-purchase licenses to do so. Sorry about my gaffe of considering claudiubo's suggestion but I'm new to this forum and not familiar with the "hierarchy" therein. So, what is your advice/instruction?
  7. claudiubo - Thanks. That looks plausible. I saw the Support Tool when I was browsing the site but when I scanned it I thought it wouldn't work due to the serial number would be missing for the installation due to the install being on (in effect) a new PC. So if the license key is carried from the uninstall to the re-install via a file embedded in the re-install setup that should work. Thanks again for your help.

I need to upgrade my Home desktop PC from WIN 8.1 to WIN 10 soon due to MS ending support for 8.1 and I want to know how to migrate my Malwarebytes subscription with the upgrade so I won't have to pay for a new subscription. Any suggestions? ( I can't find any way to send this question directly to the Malwarebytes support department.)
