  1. thanks so much for all your help AdvancedSetup, it is truly appreciated and helps me better understand not only how to prevent but how to do a little leg work on my end before taking up your valuable time.

    one last question, are there any resources out there that you would recommend for someone looking to better understand how to interpret HJT logs? i'd like to gain some knowledge in this area and would appreciate and direction for good reading.

    D:\Applications\PowerISO 3.8\PowerISO38.exe - done nothing as of yet

    C:\Documents and Settings\hardwire\My Documents\Downloads\Daemon.Tools.Pro.Advanced.v4.10.0218-L33VaNcL33F\dtpro.rar - shows as clean. however, when i unpack the file in question (in the "Patch" folder) symantec immediately picks it up as a trojan and quarantines it.
