I think something might be wrong with my network for Malwarebytes.
Whenever I use Malwarebytes, rarely if I access my "Account" area, it proceeds to tell me "unable to contact license server" and rarely when I try to update it'll tell me the same error but for the update server.
Only issue is this isn't the software failing, since I can still do updates if I click "Update" enough times manually. And Real Time Protection seems to be working perfectly fine from what I seen. And all my scans work perfectly okay without errors. So why does it keep telling me sometimes when I go on the account page that I am "unable to contact license server" even when I can. Is it a networking issue, and will it negatively effect my real time protection and Malwarebytes protection? Or can I simply leave it and let it fix itself.

Greetings,
If you use the Malwarebytes Support Tool to reinstall you should not lose your license. Additionally, you should sign up for an account at My.Malwarebytes.com using, if possible, the same email address you used when you purchased your license. Instructions on doing so may be found in this support article. Once you have done so, if you do not see your license listed, please refer to the instructions in this support article.
Once that is done, you can access your license at any time by signing in. You will be able to deactivate it for reinstalling to ensure that there are no problems getting your protection active again.
Now, as for the issue you are experiencing, please try the following:
- Run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
- Accept the EULA and click Start Repair
- Please be patient while the tool runs, it can sometimes take several minutes to complete
- Follow the onscreen instructions and restart your system if prompted to do so to complete the repair process
Please let us know how it goes and if the issue is resolved or not.
Thanks
Hello, what you told me worked exactly as it did, I still have the premium and it seems that the application finally opened, i'm glad it worked well and that it fixed, though do you have any idea of what may of caused this to happen suddenly?

I use Malwarebytes premium, and it claims it's running since it says real time protection is on, however when I do "Open Malwarebytes" it refuses to show it, however the application itself is running and clearly working in real time protection, I am too afraid to reinstall it since I may lose access to the premium subscription by reinstalling, so i'm not sure what to do in this scenario

I was reinstalling Malwarebytes off of the official website, https://www.malwarebytes.com/
And when I downloaded the setup file called "MBSetup.exe" I decided tto run it in virustotal, however quite an uncanny thing came up.
Can anyone care to explain why this is, I tested multiple times on the official website this download, so I know it's the real deal one. I even decided to scan an older version of the same downloade setup, the one with a really long name, and it resulted in this, anyone have ANY ideas why this is happening

Since I had the issue, weirdly a few hours later, the error has seemingly gone entirely whenever i check my account or try to do updates, so it seems it has fixed itself on it's own. However if it does bug out again I will make sure to do this troubleshooting, thanks again though
