  1. Hello Ron I don't know what DropboxOEM does. The icon for it on my system tray came with my computer already installed I believe. I bought my computer a couple of years ago. It's an HP All-In-One. The Kaspersky scan didn't find anything. As far as Ccleaner goes, I've heard it's pretty good just as long as you don't use it's option to fix registry errors. If you feel that it's maybe it's unnecessary then I'll listen and uninstall it.
  2. Hello Ron Let me begin by telling you how much I appreciate your help. I made a bad decision and I'm sorry for wasting your time. There are a couple of things I am going to list for you. Earlier today, before I knew that you were going to help me, I ran adwcleaner then I uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled it. This seems to have gotten rid of the PUP because my Malwarebytes is popping up every time I log in now, so maybe there are no infections left. My main concern is that I believe that there has been damage done to my PC as a result of the infection. My pages are taking longer to load and my computer is running slow. Sometimes when I go to click on images or other stuff, I get no response. I don't know if I need a fix code or what. Below are the logs you asked for. Again, it's very kind of you to help me. 3. Hello, I originally created a thread called "I Can't Find The Malware Source". Link: The screenshots and a more detailed account of my problem is there. Although I believe I have dealt with the initial issue, I'm still afraid that there might be some subtle damage that could potentially grow into a larger problem down the road if not fixed. exile360 referred me to here. Below are the logs as requested. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  4. Will do. Thank you exile360 for taking the time to help me. God only knows how many issues you must be dealing with in the run of a day for others. Thanks again
  5. Okay. I'll do that. Is it possible that some damage that is very subtle exists and is in need of repair? I'm just afraid that when I think everything is okay, it's not and causes further serious damage down the road.
  6. Hello exile360 Good to meet you. I'm just want you to know that I'm am no expert on computers, but I will certainly do what I can to help you help me. I'm using Windows 10 and Chrome. I feel it necessary to tell you more about my problem. The other day I had some downloaded images in my Downloads folder. At that time my default program for looking at images was the basic Photo Viewer that comes along with windows 10 I believe. What happened was, when I clicked on one of the images to view, the surrounding color of the image had turned white when it should be black. Not knowing what to do, I just decided to download a program similar to Photo viewer called FastStone image viewer and used that. The last couple mornings I awoke and checked my computer, Malwarebytes had a pop up letting me know that it had detected PUP. I quarantined them and took a screenshot just in case I needed help. (I uninstalled the FastStone a little earlier, about an hour or so ago, just in case it was that causing problems.) What is really concerning me is damage to my pc. Anything you can do to help however little, would be great. The two screenshots below are: 1. The white color bordering the image of Photo Viewer that should be black but is white. The horse should have black surrounding it I believe. 2. A screenshot of recently quarantined items. 3. The Zip you requested mbst-grab-results.zip
  7. Hello. :) My Malwarebytes Premium 3.6.1 keeps detecting PUP but I cannot locate the source. Am I doing something wrong?
