I would leave the defaults as they are.

    Hi again Pothos

OK I have managed to get 2 of the 3 home computers updated from V2 to V4

However computer number 3 ( the wives )  has this week gone from Premium to Free - and I have tried to reactivate it back but keeps saying - "you musy be conncted to the internet to activate your license '  ......

i have enclosed MSToolL zip - and hopefully you will find out whats wrong

  2. Thanks Porthos - for all 1043 users on here I just wish Malwarebytes had continued to provide updated definitions for this program and it would have alieviated all the issues me and many others on here seemed to be having

When - if - as a computer dummy with all my emploment. medicals etc etc details on my computer  ..........I work up the courage I will see what happens with installing the new version .......

  3. We have 3 home computers all running Windows 7 and 2.2.1.1043 ( Premium) - and all have run Malwarebytes faultlessly for a large number of years BUT its all come to a crashing halt with the ending of updates to this version.

Our licences keep changing and trying to activate Free/Premium says -" you must connect to the internet to do this"  - and we have lost all malware and malicious website protection

So I guess the advice to all this is to update to Version 4.X ???? ....... and hope we dont trash our computers ......so maybe you can please post the stepwise detailed advice to do this

I agree. I just installed the new version and it 1) sucks and 2) wouldn't recognize my lifetime license and 3) crashed chrome completely.  So, I'm not paying for this.  Goodbye malwarebytes!

A couple of weeks ago Malwarebytes was happy to take my funds to renew my licences on my 3 older computers running Windows 7 /  Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Home Premium 2.2.1.1043 without ANY mention that they were chopping of the Definitions for us older version users

I rely on my computers for many reasons - economic, medical etc - and don't want to risk trashing my computers messing around with some newer versions that may or may not work ......

Sorry Malwarebytes  - You have dropped the ball on this - I am certain you could FIX this for me and many others in a similar situation in a short time  - just let us keep updating the definitions asap
