  1. Followed your instructions above. Malwarebytes needed to be updated which I did.

    4. Then click the Security tab.  Scroll down and lets be sure the line in SCAN OPTIONs for

"Scan for rootkits" is ON. It was ON

Next click the blue button marked Scan.

    Scan Report < No detections>

I had quarantined "muzapp.exe" when I first noticed it on power on today.

I am still baffled as to why it was not detected yesterday or earlier and was detected powering on the pc for the first time today. I have not downloaded any new software or clicked on links on emails that I don't know who has sent it. Anyway thanks for you prompt help.

  2. Hello nikhils,

I downloaded the latest installer as you suggested above and Malwarebytes is now working fine.

I had an other problem (nothing to do with Malwarebytes) with my pc that I had a Driver_Power_State_Failure BSOD and I ran Driver Verifier which then had a HIDCLASS.SYS BSOD and had to take my pc back to a previous Restore Point which is why I took longer than I wanted to reply to you.

    Thanks for your help.

  3. After Windows 10 Creators latest update KB4025342 Malwarebytes does not start with Windows and cannot start it from desktop icon, I get the "Unable to connect the services" message.

Other security apps I have running are Windows Defender, which I cannot turn off when I try it immediately turns Real-time Protection  back on again and McAfee Security Centre which works fine.

I have looked at Windows Services and Malwarebytes Service is stuck on Starting!

  4. I quit Malwarebytes and restarted it again. The dashboard stated the updates were current, nevertheless I clicked to update them again and this seems to have stopped the notification re-appearing relentlessly.

    Thanks :)

  5. Since Malwarebytes Support has not had the decency to respond to my request on Jan 27, 2017 other than to say “We have received your request and an agent will respond to your ticket in the order in which it was received.” I took it upon myself to uninstall Malwarebytes and all the files using Revo Uninstaller and then using CCleaner to clean all files and any registry issues. I then reinstalled Malwarebytes 3.0.6.1469 again from their web site and activated it. The issues are still there including Web Protection still blocking iptest.malwarebytes.org but not http://52.21.84.70.

All in all a very poor support from Malwarebytes support staff who should be informing their customers as to when these issues will be sorted out if ever!

  6. Like many others here I have problems with Malwarebytes 3.0.6.1469

Unable to download and install to new version from Malwarebytes 3.0.5 to Malwarebytes 3.0.6.1469 within Malwarebytes and unable to set the Malware Protection setting

    Operating system Windows 10 x 64 version 1607 Build 14393.693

Malwarebytes version 3.0.6.1469 Component Package 1.0.50 Update package version 1.0.1237

Other anti-virus McAfee Security Centre and Hitman Pro

My first issue was unable to download and install to the new version from within Malwarebytes when the notification appeared. I had to go to the Malwarebytes web site and download it from there and install it.

Solved the issue by manually downloading from Malwarebytes site and installing it.

Other issues when power on my desktop Malwarebytes loads but will always load with Web Protection switched off or Web Protection and Exploit Protection switched off or Malware Protection switched off I try to set all these to ON but Malware Protection just stays on Starting and goes no further. The only way I am able to set Web Protection, Exploit Protection and Malware Protection to ON is to quit Malwarebytes and restarting it again.

    I have tried the following

    1.            Under Settings -> Protection, turn on "Enable self-protection module early start". Then reboot and see if your protection module starts up

    2.            If that doesn't work, under Settings -> Protection, turn off the option for "Enable self-protection module". Then reboot and see if your protection module starts up

But it does not resolve the issue!

When I have set all protections after quitting and restarting Malwarebytes Web Protection will block iptest.malwarebytes.org but not http://52.21.84.70

I could insert screen shots but there are too many to upload so instead I have attached MBAMSERVICE LOG.zip
