  1. Sorry for the late reply Ried I do have the Windows 7 Professional SP1 disk.
  2. I uninstalled McAfee, ran mbam-clean and installed Malwarebytes and the runtime error still appeared. I tried running mbam-check again but still it closed before making the CheckResults log.
  3. I uninstalled WinPatrol and Hitmanpro and rebooted but they don't seem to be the cause as the mbam-check still closed before the scan. I saw the errors in the Addition log. Should I try re-installing McAfee and see if the errors persist and if they do uninstall it and try to run mbam-check? To be honest I don't think I've ever used Little Registry Cleaner. The main registry cleaner I use is CCleaner, which isn't saying much as I rarely use it. I think I installed Little Registry Cleaner before CCleaner and just forgot that I had downloaded it previously.
  4. I believe my D drive is just the other half of the hard disk. I transferred some files over to it to make space on my C drive and attached the new logs. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  5. I disabled the real-time scanning and the firewall on McAfee and downloaded the mbam-check again. The 7-zip error didn't appear but the command prompt still closed without the Checkreusults.txt being created. I tried Unblocking the mbam-check in properties but this didn't work either. I attached the setlog.txt. setlog.txt
  6. When I run the mbam-check I recieve this error before the command prompt closes: 7-zip Error: ERROR I tried re-downloading the mbam-check but it came up with the same error. I'm not sure if this is because Malwarebytes is still installed because it ran perfectly before when AdvancedSetup told me to run mbam-clean.
  7. Oh I see the reason now. It was my fault because I didn't specify, but the download link I posted in #46 was the Process monitor log: http://we.tl/gTRtz20QHM Sorry, my bad! Also I'm on a different computer because the battery on my laptop is dead and the charger I have for it is broken so I won't be able to carry out any tasks until Saturday.
  8. I found that from a solution in this link: http://serverfault.com/questions/341043/process-monitor-fails-to-start-on-a-64-bit-computerthat I was able to run the lastest version of Process monitor using a resource extractor. Would this still indicate OS issues? Though in the meantime I'll consider your suggestion and skim read the method for a repair install if it comes down to that.
  9. Ok I had to download an older version of Process Monitor (3.03 to be exact) to get it working. The download link is: http://we.tl/gTRtz20QHM
  10. I tried running Process monitor but it fails to open. I had this issue months before when I was trying to manage my startup programs. I cannot remember if I managed to get it working as others with 64-bit computers also had the same issue, or if I simply found an alternative program. I'll come back to you if I manage to get it working.
  11. When I double click Malwarebytes it asks for permission but it never loads up when I click yes.
  12. Right at the end of installing before you have the option to launch Malwarebytes.
  13. Ok I had to uninstall McAfee because for some reason I couldn't open it to disable the protection temporarily. I ran the FRST with the fixlog and ran mbam-clean but the error still appeared and malwarebytes wouldn't open. Fixlog.txt
  14. I believe that McAfee saw Webroot as a program that would interfere with it's installation and so did not install in the beginning as I was able to complete installing McAfee after removing Webroot. However when I ran a full scan it came up with nothing. I attached the FRST file. FRST.txt
  15. Hello Ried, thanks for your help. I initially had trouble uninstalling Webroot as it would somehow still run after I ran the uninstall from Control Panel. I went into safe mode and downloaded the webroot removal tool to get rid of it. Then I ran mbam-clean, restarted and tried installing it. The internal error was still present and Malwarebytes didn't open.
