[Unable to update/no protection display/tried all the solutions.]

First of all I couldn't open my MBAM premium.  I did the clean removal, re-installed and had one successful scan.  I quarantined and removed the threats.  I set up the auto update and scan features.  I started having some issues with my PC and when I opened the program it said unable to connect to update server.  I tried the solutions suggested in the forums with no luck.  There's something nasty infecting my system.

First off I couldn't open the program at all.  I followed the clean removal process and re-installed the program...it successfully scanned and detected quite a number of threats which I quarantined and removed.  I set up the auto update and auto scan but over a few days I didn't get any notifications.  I opened the program and tried to manually update but got these same results.   I tried another clean removal and re-install with no luck.  My PC is infected with something nasty and I can;'t seem to find a solution.
