    Virus: DOS/Rovnix.V found by MSE but cannot be found to delete. Please help!

    Hello everyone,

    I ran Microsoft Security Essentials on my vista computer and it found:

    Virus:DOS/Rovnix.V

    more information- boot:\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0\Partition1 (NTFS) -> [Obfuscator]

    Virus:Win32/Rovnix.gen!.C

    more information- rootkit:Rovnix->Vbr::Rovnix

    MSE could not find the above to delete, therefore it told me to download and run MSE offline, I did this but they still couldn't be found.

    Please help, my computer has become really slow, I can't even use internet explorer anymore.

    Note: I think I've had these harmful files on my computer for over a month.

    Also, I don't really know much about computers.

    Any help is appreciated!
