  1. There we go, I had to rename it. Even after downloading a fresh copy it wouldn't recognize the first method.
  2. The system appears to be running fine, but honestly the performance was never an issue. Only what was popping up on the virus scans. But I have done a few scans of various programs and nothing is popping up. Thank you again for your help.
  3. Oh I know. But I would rather run a little bit of a risk for a non bogged down system. Always active antivirus are worse than the virus themselves at times. Since 1998, I have only had to reformat a drive 2 times (because of a really nasty virus) and my last harddrive go out on me during a move. I think that is a pretty darn good track record. I believe one of the reasons I had a virus recently was because of the fact that I went to this site called TFOutpost and it DLed the virus from an advertisement. I had never been there and so now I wont be going back there. I was lucky to be able to recover the data from my last hard drive. My back up tends to be my lap top. I just put the data on the flash drive and put it on there everyone once in a while.
  4. I normally have no active anti virus programs running. I use Malwarebytes, TDSSKiller and CCleaner monthly unless I notice something unusual. It is very rare for me to get a virus. Probably because I rarely surf to sites that seem risky. My PC (even while infected) is running smoothly. I only had one random act of lag. I have been disconnecting my pc from the net but I should probably leave it connected to see if anything happens. The next couple of nights I will leave it connected 24/7 to see if anything appears. Thank you for all your help!
  5. It says it didn't find anything but I had run adware program and rogue killer already.
  6. I did and declined but it still installed it. Buggers! I think I managed to get it all. But I will run that also.
  7. But as for other people having problems. I guess it was because a bulk of data was removed from a crashed hard drive and put on this one that it has those issues?
  8. I started to try to do it and one of the programs gave me a adware virus that infected my browser. PC Speed up popped up after I installed PowerISO5.
  9. Other than the issue with Combofix never completing and the hard drive not scanning itself completely. I guess the drive is clean. Only issue that appeared was a week ago when I came to my PC it was lagging bad on the desktop (slow mouse movements) and I never had that issue prior. So I shut the system off. I normally leave it on and connected to the net. But I have been disabling the connection to the net now.
  10. I am not sure why either. Maybe the hole in the wall place put something on it I am unaware of. I remember one time I reformated my hard drive on an old computer and it caused my hard drive to become 2 different drive in the software program. But this was an old pc not this one.
  11. Seatools results- the 3 I ran all passed: Short Generic, short drive self test, & smart check. I will run the long generic right before I go to bed. Bench mark numbers were as follows Disk mark 626, sequential read 72.3, Seq write 96.2, random seek + rw 4.52.
  12. RKreport0_S_08302013_002450.txt The 2 reg files, are they suppose to be there?
  13. I have never seen singles purchasable at local stores. They are always massive stacks. Also, what about the quarantine folder? When I delete it, then the files reinfect the PC?
