Protection Tab Disabled

I recently had a virus and had to get a tech to clean my system and I purchased Malwarebytes Pro. Now when I click on the Protection Tab, the Enable Protecton Module is unchecked and won't let me check it. I get the following error
PROGRAM_ERROR_PROTECTION_MODULE (2,0 PROTECTION ENABLE)
The system cannot find the file specificed
