Can't open taskmgr; regedit; computer management!

When i run taskmgr it flashing by quickly and appears in the taskbar, but when i move the mouse near it, it disappears. when i try and run regedit, it opens and then disappears. when i right click on my computer and select manage, nothing seems to happen.

Anybody know what the problem is at all, and how do I go about fixing it? If i have to delete anything or do anything with this log, could somebody tell me how to do it please, as i have never used one of these e.g. if i need to alter or delete something from it? Thanks in advance!
