Bad mouthing on Malwarebytes

Recommended Posts

Yes, we're hitting some raw nerves. Which means that we are on the right track.

Someone bravely hiding behind an alias has gathered enough of his meagre courage to write a slanderous and totally untrue comment about our site and our products on SiteAdvisor. He then commented himself several times on his own post which made him look even more pathetic.

We're not afraid of possible looming lawsuits and are vigorously defending our right to help computer users worldwide in their struggle against rogue applications that may inflict damage on their privacy, on their wallet, and on their computer safety.

We know, as you know, that someone who tries to discredit us on SiteAdvisor is someone who feels the financial pain when his rogue application is finally targeted by RogueRemover.

Hi Marcin,

I understand your aggravation. I've placed a request that

"KayKaspersky" be banned from posting comments.

Kind regards,

His posts will also be deleted within 24 to 48 hours. I'm very glad that Jonathan has been resolving this problem with me.

I really am beginning to enjoy the slander our dear friend is posting at SiteAdvisor. Scanning through all his comments I've picked my favorite quote. Change a few words and think RogueRemover has received an endorsement.

Here are some of the legitimate and admired and widely used security tools they remove:

There are much more applications they remove, but the list goes on and on..

I personally got a nice laugh out of this post but the last line is a tribute to the power of RogueRemover. As the list expands, I presume malwarebytes will begin to receive more comments like these. As the community of RogueRemover and Malwarebytes, it is our job to defend the product against these attacks. Thanks in advance for doing your part.

Apparently, RogueRemover is working; it seems that the "bad guys" are beginning to worry about their profits. Otherwise, there would be no reason to slander MalwareBytes' software.

Y'know, if lawsuits are looming, I really don't think they have much of a case against MalwareBytes. There is nothing that says that a user has to download or run RogueRemover.

Still in all, lawsuits are shocking. :D

Contacted Andrew,

Thank you for the link. Apparently we are hitting some nerves.. and that is good =)

Yes, it is! You must be doing something right! :)

But, unfortunately, these guys don't tire easily - here are a couple more-

Hi Jean :~)

You can find him Securitycadets.

Thanks HH. I guess I will have to join another forum. :) If it was me I would want someone to give me a heads up my name was being used.

Roddy32 your post is actually what alerted me to the whole mess. I have since kind of made it a pet project. This new tactic is even one step lower. :)

Hello everyone,

KayKaspersky, or whatever name he/she it is using today, has got me fighting mad. I don't consider myself one of the big players in this war, but KK using my nym seriously pissed me off.

It's bad enough he/she/it is smearing RogueRemover, MalwareBytes, and the program developers; now he/she/it has resorted to using the nym's of those who have publicly supported RogueRemover.

I'm not sure what recourse is open, since this individual seems to not be in any jurisdiction, that I can seek compensation. But, I will explore those avenues that are available to me.

If I find more out about this scum I'll be sure to inform everyone concerned.

Here's some more "bad mouthing" that I found tonight last night-

Someone using the nym "Danielle_Horowitz" has been very busy posting at 9down.com.

Here are direct links to a few, but he/she seems to have posted to the comment section of virtually every software product there. I gave up after finding around 50; there are possibly hundreds. Just change the last few digits and you'll see what I mean:

Thanks for the heads up.
