Incredible Product

I experience an attack on my computer this summer that no one seemed to have heard of. I asked IT techs, my Internet support system, and still it was like they had no idea what I was describing. So I of course did the logical thing, I goggled the darn thing. Hundreds of bloggers were being attacked as well. It seems the AntiVirus08 that had attacked the computer was doing nothing short of extortion. It self installs by invasion, changes settings, and reeked destruction as it claimed I had all these viruses and offering to remove them at a "price". It mimicked reliable sources and used pop ups that looked like legitimate problems. On another computer I spent two days sifting through blogs and pages and sites that claimed they had the tools and answers that would work. The only one that consistently came up as a sure thing was Malwarebytes. I fought a virus controlled computer for hours as it tried and tried to prevent me from down loading the Malwarebytes program. When I finally got through and ran it, it was amazing. It cleaned my PC and saved me hundreds of dollars. Yesterday a friend asked for help on a public forum. She was experiencing the same type of attack on her PC. It was calling it's self AntiVirus 2009. She could no longer even surf the net. The only thing still working was her email. I spent time with her as I told her of Malwarebytes. And worked with her as she desperately tried to download it. It took her 6 attempts. Finally getting it downloaded. It saved her computer. had we had this downloaded and running, we would have never came so close to losing our PCs in the first place. She emailed the information on how to get Malwarebytes to all her friends.

I am the biggest fan of this product. I wish I owned stock!

Yup, it's a powerful tool and it keeps getting better because the researchers and developers behind it deal with real live infections, not unlike the ones you yourself had, every day and determine how to kill the buggers. They offer a free help forum here when an infection comes along that Malwarebytes' doesn't remove, then when they're helping the user clean their PC manually, they get samples of the new malware and add it to the definitions. It's helpful and incredibly effective for staying on top of the latest threats.
