Hi,

sorry, silly question, but maybe a case for the FAQ:

I used to use Malwarebytes (Free) for on-demand scans only beside a full fledged AV Scanner like AVG or MS Security Essentials. I'm under the impression, that with the new pro version, Malwarebytes has become a full replacement for a (resident) antivirus program.

Right or wrong?

Hello and :welcome:

Sorry no one has answered your question, that being said....

No Malwarebytes is not a replacement for your antivirus software, it is designed to work as a second layer of security working hand in hand with your antivirus software to help catch and remove what may get through your antivirus program.

You still need to have an antivirus program installed.
