Sounds like possibly the install got corrupted. You might have to use a manual removal tool but I would first go into control panel and uninstall the Adobe software, reboot.

Then for IE go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and click on the Reset button. Then quit IE and then reload it.

Then go back to Adobe and try to download and install Flash and Acrobat again.

If the issue continues please let us know.
