IE Issues Post-Trojan BHO Virus - No Folder Control, Erratic Save Locations

Recommended Posts

Hello, after recently contracting a virus (TrojanBHO, detailed here), several minor issues appeared following resolution.

First, folders will not reset to default status; they continue to open in separate windows, resizing to restore-down.

Also, default save locations are not adhered to. For example, image files will save to My Pictures until saved to another folder, at which point some files will save to the new location while others will save to the default, with no apparent pattern.

Following the advice of a forum moderator, I have reverted to IE8 from IE9; this did not affect the issue, and I would be open to any insights regarding additional measures.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
