I am having a couple problems today with malwarebytes. Its run fine for a couple years and I have had no issues, but today I get this message:

“windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.”

The link to download malwarebytes does not work for some reason. I did run the mbam thing and did get it reloaded. However once the scan starts, it runs for about 35 seconds then just stops. when you try to run it again, the above message comes up. If it helps, I have purchased the full version a while back and this has been the first time I have had any issues.

I'm not the most computer literate person, so please, if you can help, use language that is not jargon so I can try to follow directions.

It sounds like the system is probably infected.
