No browser, Malware stopping ping and srvhost to bad sites

I own the PRo version of Maleware and have updated my definaitons and run full and flash scans since my problems starts today

I am getting notifications of ping and srvhost trying to reach bad sites and its happeneding on differeant ports all the time.

All browsers stopped workingThe infoI have is "PRoxy Server is not responding" Luckily I can connect via AOL

Windows defender is running

I tried to install avira but without my internet connection working correctly I could not register and complete the installation

I want to aplogize for the poorly written topic. I think I was still in the frustrtated stage of infection to think clearly.

My Browsers are unable to connect to the Internet ( although windows messenger works as does AOL) and I get continual meesage that state MB blocked access to a potentially malicious web site. THe process attempting to connect to the site is either ping.exe or svchost.exe and differeant ports are used everytime. For what its worth, it seems that currently ping is being fired off much more frequently than svchost.exe

Please don't attach the scans / logs, use "copy/paste".

I suggest you do this:

Internet Explorer (Windows)

1. Click "Tools", then click "Internet Options". This will bring up the Internet Options window.

2. Click the "Connections" tab, then click the "LAN Settings" button.

3. Uncheck the box labeled "Use a proxy server for your LAN". Click "OK", and click "OK" in the previous window. This will remove the proxy server settings in Internet Explorer.

Firefox (Windows)

1. Click "Tools", then click "Options" to bring up the Options window.

2. Click the "Advanced" button, then click the "Network" tab.

3. Click the "Settings" button, located next to "Configure how Firefox connects to the Internet".

4. Click the radio button labeled "No proxy". Click "OK" twice. This will remove the proxy server settings in Firefox.

Launch Internet Explorer and see if you can connect to the Internet.

My Browsers are again working after following your instructions

I then updated MB, and run first a flash scan which found this

Registry Values Infected:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ProxyServer (PUM.Bad.Proxy) -> Value: ProxyServer -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

I deleted it from quarantine and rebooted and ran the full scan which found no issues

However I am still get notifications every 30-50 seconds where MB is blocking access to a malicious site and the process running is either ping.exe or scvhost.exe

Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt using Copy / Paste in your next reply.

Notes:

1.Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

2. ComboFix may reset a number of Internet Explorer's settings, including making I-E the default browser.

3. Combofix prevents autorun of ALL CD, floppy and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. If this is an issue or makes it difficult for you -- please tell your helper.

4. CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

Give it atleast 20-30 minutes to finish if needed.

Please do not attach the scan results from Combofx. Use copy/paste.

Save this file to your desktop, Save this as "CFScript"

Here's how to do that:

1.Click File;

2.Click Save As... Change the directory to your desktop;

3.Change the Save as type to "All Files";

Then post the results log using Copy / Paste

The answer is no.

I do not see any problems with my computer, as far as

I can tell, everything appears fine.
