Currently Scanning files list

Recommended Posts

I have a user that got his Windows 7 Enterprise laptop infected with something that would not allow either Malwarebytes of the McAfee anti virus to run. I started the laptop in Safe Mode and and still could not run Malwarebytes. I ended up uninstalling and downloading and re-installing while in Safe Mode and was then able to do a quick scan. The quick scan found three items, one registry key and two files infections. The registry key and one file were infected with the same thing, something called Backdoor.0Access. The remaining file was infected with Heuristic.Shuriken. Malwarebytes successfully removed all items found.

I next started the laptop normally and ran a full scan. The scan started out normally but then the list of files being scanned changed (see attachment). The list of files being scanned now looks line machine code. the total number of files scanned seems way to few. Has anyone else seen this? Any help is appreciated.
