My PC has been infected with a malware while downloading a weather toolbar. A window, supposedly from "Advanced Registry Optimizer 2010", has popped up. At that moment, without clicking on anything I have checked online and downloaded Malwarebytes, making sure to click on last update and install it on the desktop. I have restarted the computer to initiate Malwarebytes and the first thing popping up has been a window from "Advanced Registry Optimizer 2010" and I can't close the window. I have then scanned with Malwarebytes, first the quick and then the full scan, but it's not detecting the virus. I have also tried to remove the program from control panel, but of course that is not an option either. Finally, I have scanned the system with Spybot - Search & Destroy. It has detected some issues and fixed them. My concern with this last step is that it automatically clean the temporary files and I'm not sure that was convenient.

Could anyone tell me what the problem may be?

How can I solve it?

Thanks!!!
