avwebgrd? pop up as blocked

Recommended Posts

Paid version of MWB! :)

MWB blocking Avira something... Not sure what the exact message is. Tried to grab the window but it dropped off too quick. Will move faster next time. It states avwebgrd or something like that. I searched in the forums and found nothing.

Maybe this is a false pos, but would like to know what it is blocking and why? How to fix if need be?

Brandnew instal Win7, paid MWB, and Paid Avira Prem Suit.

Peace and Blessings

Please review Section G of our FAQ, in particular the entry that says Why is Malwarebytes' blocking my antivirus?

It is likely that since Avira's Webguard is hooked into your browser and analyzing all incoming and outgoing internet traffic to look for infections, that if you browse to a webpage that resides on an IP address that is blocked by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or contains an advertisement on a blocked IP, that you would see a tray tooltip balloon stating that Avira's Webguard process (avwebgrd) has been blocked from connecting to a malicious website.
