Depending on what site you're on it could be normal. Some sites enable ad word descriptions like that.

If you're seeing it on all sites maybe try emptying your browser cache. For Internet Explorer click on Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and click on the Reset button. Quit IE and see if you're still having the issue.

Thanks. I also in the meantime downloaded Google Chrome. I did what you said and all seems ok now, thanks again

I can't see this option in Firefox. No doubt I am missing something simple. Thanks for any help.

It happens in Chrome as well.

Hi, fo2rest:

Are you experiencing the same issue as the OP?

This is a pretty old topic, and the versions of all the browsers now would be much more current.

We would need to know what version of the browsers you are running, in order to offer specific suggestions about clearing cache, etc.

As AdvancedSetup mentioned, this does seem to be related to advertisements/adware.

For Firefox, the general steps are explained here:

http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-recent-browsing-search-and-download-history

For Chrome, try this:

http://productforums.google.com/d/topic/chrome/Qhw45kTIt9E

Can you please be more specific about what you're seeing, and perhaps include a screenshot?

Thanks,

daledoc1

PS Since this likely isn't an MBAM problem, I think the mods may wish to split off your post to a new topic in the PC Help section >>HERE<<.
