Malwarebytes keeps crashing

Recommended Posts

Hi all

First post from me cos i found this great bit of software.

I am not the best on the computer but my computer was infected as Nortons had told me but then it shut down and i was unable to reboot in normal mode, onely safe mode.

I Downloaded, spybot S&D,Adaware 2007 or 2008 cant remember and whole lot more and still my computer would not reboot,oh and symnatec said they would fix it for a price,i even checked hardware.

Then i found Malwarebytes, this program pulled out about 30 odd infected files that the others didnt find and now for the first time i can reboot in normal mode. And that was from a quick scan.

Once i got on normal mode i updated Malwarebytes and ran another quick scan but now it crashes at aboout the same place everytime, around 4 mins in the scan, even on the same file.So i thought i would run a full scan and this went for about 1hr and 30mins at that stage it found 2 infected files but it crashed again.I know there is more infected files on there but damn thing keeps crashing.

Shall i uninstall it and redo a new install?
