Internet Explorer Not Working

After I purchased, installed and ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro to remove the Security Protection malware, I can no longer access the Internet. I receive a message when I run the Diagnostic in Windows "The remote device or resource will not accept the connection" Detected.

If I restore the computer to an earlier System Restore point, the IE works, but the malware reappears.

How can I get IE working again? Would another browser be a work around, but how can I load one if IE isn't working?
