Virus stops all Anti-Virus/removal/scan software

Recommended Posts

Heyo Malwarebytes team:

I have a computer that is infected with a ridiculous bug, I have tried everything I could think of and that you have listed in these forums the list is as follows:

Malware Bytes

RootRepeal

Norton

AVG

Avast

HijackThis

it allows installation if you get it from a 3rd party as I've been coping these programs via flash drive from a mac.

It will redirect any google searches for the following items:

Anti-virus

Norton

Cleverbot

iGod

AVG

Malwarebytes

Rootrepeal

Hijackthis

Avast

and a lot of other random stuff

however if you do a direct website url load to like cleverbot.com it works just find it only redirects the google links.

I have no idea what has infected this machine or how to go about locating and removing it, and have no logs to analyze either since all programs were killed before it could actually scan, it actually not only closes but corrupts the program giving the following error message:

"Windows cannot access the device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

it does the same error for all programs, usually hijack this will work on just about anything this is the first time even that has failed me.

Very much looking forward to your reply,

Kyle.

Hi,

  • Download the file TDSSKiller.zip and extract it into a folder on the infected PC.
  • Execute the file TDSSKiller.exe by double-clicking on it.
  • Wait for the scan and disinfection process to be over.
  • When its work is over, the utility prompts for a reboot to complete the disinfection.

By default, the utility outputs runtime log into the system disk root directory (the disk where the operating system is installed, C:\ as a rule).

The log is like UtilityName.Version_Date_Time_log.txt.

for example, C:\TDSSKiller.2.2.0_20.12.2009_15.31.43_log.txt.

Please post that log here.

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post only DDS.txt directly into your reply.
