Malware Won't Load - Received Error Message

Recommended Posts

I turned on my computer today, and received the following error message: PROGRAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE (-2146893820, -2146893820, Create SDK) Bad Length.

Has anyone had this problem? If so, how do I fix it?

I need this program because my computer is constantly under attack from malware.

Help please!!

20. ISSUE: I am receiving the message PROGRAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE when I try to open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, what does it mean and how can I fix it?

SOLUTION: Usually this occurs because your database file has become corrupt. It is usually corrected by following the instructions posted below (choose the instructions that apply to your version of Windows)

Essentially:

We are deleting the rules.ref file. Then run the program again and let it update.

* Windows XP and 2000

* C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

* Windows Vista and Windows 7:

* C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref
