Why is Malwarebytes free running under Windows-7 64-bit as *32 (a 32-bit program)?

Why is Malwarebytes free running under Windows-7 64-bit as "*32" (a 32-bit program) and with DEP not enabled?

Surely it would be safer to have Data Execution Prevention turned on, either by default (as with 64-bit code) or explicitly (as with many 32-bit codes)???

Thanks, Max

P.S. -- I first tried keyword searching the net and the forums for this before posting here -- no luck.

:welcome:

DEP has nothing to do with Malwarebytes. It is a Windows feature introduced in Windows XP SP2. By default it is not set to monitor all programs and hardware for compatibility reasons.
