Error code 32 problem back!

Recommended Posts

I carried out the steps outlined below, and it seemed to be successful for about a week,

however, today the same problem returned. I am running Sophos for antivirus, if that

is significant. I do not know what "file exclusions" might be needed, or if that could be

part of the problem; I did not take any action in that regard. Can you please explain

how to determine if such file exclusions are needed, and what they would be?

Can you tell me a way to permanently resolve the problem?

Thank you.

Hello and :welcome:

Please do the following:

Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it.

Hi wfreedman -

The steps you took are usually for an old Error code 730 , however they do solve many other problems -

I am checking to see if we have anything listed for Sophos A/virus programs --

Just a quick extra, are you running a paid or free version of Malwarebytes -

Thank You -
