Detection Rate

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if running a Avira Premium and Malwarebytes Pro scans simultaneously will affect their detection performance.

I do this as it is two scans that only take ~15mins rather than 30mins if I ran then separately.

Malwarebytes is fully excluded from Avira and vice versa.

Well more than likely it will be fine, but when you do that, both may detect the same item and you would have to choose which one would take care of the detection. It could cause potential lockups so it would be recommended to do the scans separately....

As for real time protection, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware only scan upon file access/start while Avira scans upon file create. If it happens to be something that both detect, AVIRA will be the first one to catch it, MBAM won't cause problems.
