JamesDotCom Posted July 13, 2011 ID:453488 Share Posted July 13, 2011 Hi - I followed your guide on this link http://forums.malwarebytes.org//index.php?showtopic=2936I have XP Home and have virus type problems.I thank you in advance for any help you can provide me as the infections keeps appearing over an over again (despite restarts after a scan) as I can see in Malwarebytes after a quick scan (below).I can do all this in an account which is not administrator account (x amanda x) - the admin account is James which is my normal account but I cannot work in this account as a scan (fake I believe) kicks off from a product that I do not know about and looks unfamiliar and also nothing works i.e. IE browser as it warns it is infected. In fact anything I start I get warned is infected. But in the x amanda x account I can work in.Hope you can help and very many thanks in advance.Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.51.0.1200www.malwarebytes.orgDatabase version: 7104Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.1870213/07/2011 21:57:33mbam-log-2011-07-13 (21-57-33).txtScan type: Quick scanObjects scanned: 143505Time elapsed: 9 minute(s), 17 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 6Registry Values Infected: 1Registry Data Items Infected: 3Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 0Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\{19127AD2-394B-70F5-C650-B97867BAA1F7} (Backdoor.Bot) -> Delete on reboot.HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\{19127AD2-394B-70F5-C650-B97867BAA1F7} (Backdoor.Bot) -> Delete on reboot.HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\{43BF8CD1-C5D5-2230-7BB2-98F22C2B7DC6} (Backdoor.Bot) -> Delete on reboot.HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\{43BF8CD1-C5D5-2230-7BB2-98F22C2B7DC6} (Backdoor.Bot) -> Delete on reboot.HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\{494E6CEC-7483-A4EE-0938-895519A84BC7} (Backdoor.Bot) -> Delete on reboot.HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\{494E6CEC-7483-A4EE-0938-895519A84BC7} (Backdoor.Bot) -> Delete on reboot.Registry Values Infected:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Network\UID (Malware.Trace) -> Value: UID -> Delete on reboot.Registry Data Items Infected:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify (PUM.Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Delete on reboot.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify (PUM.Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Delete on reboot.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit (Hijack.Userinit) -> Bad: (C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\twext.exe,) Good: (Userinit.exe) -> Delete on reboot.Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:(No malicious items detected)Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2Scan saved at 22:22:22, on 13/07/2011Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.6001.18702)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\WINDOWS\RTHDCPL.EXEC:\HP\KBD\KBD.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\WrtMon.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft Security Client\msseces.exeC:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\WrtProc.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exeC:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\NOTEPAD.EXEc:\windows\system\hpsysdrv.exeC:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\NOTEPAD.EXEC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\NOTEPAD.EXEC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\NOTEPAD.EXEC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exeR1 - Mainard Posted July 13, 2011 ID:453494 Share Posted July 13, 2011 Hello JamesDotCom,As we don't deal with malware removal in the General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have. You can follow the directions below and someone will assist you with running scans on your system to see if they can detect anything. Please print out, read and follow the Directions HERE, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.orgThank you very much.
