Both Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro flagged this file, ZDBmon.exe, from my "Application Data" folder as a Trojan. It was in a folder with a bunch of numbers, 4000001000002i, which is inside a folder called "InstallShield Uninstall Information" which was within a folder named "Thinstall" in the Data folder. I deleted the folder with no effect on my system.

I did a search here and found nothing on ZDBMon.exe, but did find these:

http://www.spydig.com/file-diagnosis/ZDBMon-exe.html

and

http://www.windowserrorfix.org/errors/fix-ZDBMon.exe-error-ZDBMon.exe-error-fix.html

Any ideas, experience on this?

Thanks

(Note: I did a complete scan with MSE, Malwarebytes, and Hitman Pro after deleting the folder and got no hits on malware or viruses)

Hi newswatcher -

Do you run any types of Registry Cleaners ?

These programs can do much damage to your system if you are not 100% sure of what you are doing !

http//xxx.windowserrorfix.org/errors/fix-ZDBMon.exe-error-ZDBMon.exe-error-fix.htm

The above is related to a cleaner site and should be flagged. It should be deleted if you have it on your computer.

It will not repair your system in any way -

Thank You -

No. Ran no Reg cleaner. I didn't pursue anything offered on that "windowserrorfix" site, it looked too fishy.

I did do a search Registry for "ZDBMon" and found nothing...

I've deleted the file/folder with no repercussions, so will just leave it at that. But thanks for responding...
