Slow PC

Greetings- Several months ago my PC was not allowing me to access msconfig and coming up with different system messages when running programs...like malwarebytes. In safemode I was able to restore my PC to a previous date. Things started to work better, even though I had to reinstall some software like Itunes etc.. but lately my PC is super slow, especially when I'm online. I use Avira and Online Armor. Any recommendations in what I can do to check why PC is slow would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think there is any chance you could be infected (I know you mentioned that you were infected a while back)?
