Unable to install even after fix

Hello, I was attempting to install MBAM in response to I believe contracting a keylogger. I received errors pertaining to the registry, and subsequently found the "Unable to register the DLL/OCX mbamext.dll fix" thread. Unfortunately, all the fixes in said thread still won't allow me to install successfully, without having to use the Ignore button.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I am honestly afraid to log into any account until this is cleared up. I assume a System Restore wouldn't fix anything?

Actually, it seems after downloading and installing virtual basic runtime environment (it seems I was missing MSVBVM60.dll) I was able to install alright.

Hopefully that wasn't a bad thing to do necessarilly, planning to start scans and posting logs next.

Yeah, most often if registering the .dll files manually doesn't fix it, then installing the VB6 runtime files does.
