Reinstall Issues

I have been struggling with reinstalling MBAM this morning...it's taken hours to get nowhere.

I finally found my email that has my purchase info on it (thank God I keep some of this stuff online instead of on my pc where it cannot be retrieved if there's a OS/hard drive failure).

I downloaded the latest version and installed it. Nothing has asked for a registration key. So, I go online and search for info on how to reinstall the purchased version and found that you open MBAM and go to the Protection Tab and insert your info there to register.

Well, there's nothing on that tab besides the Enable Protection Module and the Scheduler button.

When I try to Enable Protection, I get an error [CreateService] Failed to perform desired action. Error Code: 1072 .

What is going on and how to I fix this?
