false positive eventvwr.exe

Recommended Posts

This happens in windows xp.

Malwarebytes is detecting this file as infected:

c:\WINDOWS\system32\eventvwr.exe (Trojan.FakeMS) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

But after that, windows asks for the installation cd, because the original files were modified.

So i checked that file in different computers with malwarebytes and it detects them as infected in all the machines.

The strange thing is that it didnt detect it until today. I opened the file, is working ok, its part of windows and i think its safe.

Im attaching the file for you.
