Protecting Update Cache

Recommended Posts

Hi. I write to ask if using "junk-file" cleaning applications like CC Cleaner or the "File-Cleaning" add-ons that various uninstallers have got (such as Advanced Uninstaller and Your Uninstaller)can present a danger to antivirus update caches? I have completely wiped-out all my System Restore cache "Points" using the "File Cleaner" that comes with some kinds of programs (usually uninstallers)and am paranoid about obliterating my antivirus/antimalware update caches as am on dial-up and religeously update everything every day! Also want to say thank you to MBAM for making a free version available to those who cannot afford to buy stuff; it is very much appreciated and we love MBAM! (Incidentally, I use Ad-Aware and Avira along with MBAM - they all seem to get along very harmoniously and are by light-years the best bug-hunters around).
