GMER will NOT run/complete

I was trying to run GMER, as per the instructions listed here ---> http://forums.malwarebytes.org//index.php?showtopic=9573

However, shortly after it begins running (after many items have been scanned), my computer BLUE SCREENS and restarts. When start-up is finished, I am provided with a message like "Windows have recovered from...". Here is what I get when I click to see more detail about the crash:

I am unable to view the contents of the first file. It just says Access is Denied, and I can only click OK.

The other two files don't even exist where the above says they are.

Can anyone help me to determine why GMER will not run?
