Hey everyone. It started with Avast notifying me that I had a virus (Win32.agent.wmrr, I think?). I moved that item to the chest, did a scan, and found nothing else. I later ran Spybot S&D, which found Virtumonde, Smitfraud, and Win32.xxxxx (assorted). I deleted those items, rebooted, and scanned again with Spybot. And lo and behold, everything came back again. I then installed and ran Malwarebytes, which removed everything except these two items:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MS Juan (Malware.Trace)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MS Track System (Trojan.Vundo)

MB claims to have deleted the keys, but they reappear after reboot.

Before, I couldn't turn on automatic updates and I kept getting pop-ups (though the pop-ups would always fail to connect, go figure). I can turn on automatic updates now, but I'm still getting the pop-ups. I'm seeing a lot of references to "Hijack This," but I'm not familiar with that program. Please help!! I'm traveling on Thursday and I need my computer to be in top shape. :)

Please do not bump your topics, many people other than you also need help.

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

Sorry about that.

Anyway, I'm only getting log.txt, not the info file.

Open open notepad and copy and paste in the following:

MD "%USERPROFILE%"\desktop\malware
xcopy C:\WINDOWS\system32\ifelqi.dll "%USERPROFILE%"\desktop\malware /c /q /r /h /yxcopy C:\WINDOWS\system32\bwthabyd.dll "%USERPROFILE%"\desktop\malware /c /q /r /h /yxcopy C:\WINDOWS\system32\jesterss.dll "%USERPROFILE%"\desktop\malware /c /q /r /h /yxcopy "C:\WINDOWS\tiinst" "%USERPROFILE%"\desktop\malware /c /q /r /h /y
Attrib -s -r -h "%USERPROFILE%"\desktop\malware\*.*

Save it as getmalware.bat to the desktop and double-click on it to run it. It will create a folder called malware on your desktop. Please zip up this folder and attach that zipped file here in a new topic with a link to this thread. I will get back to you once they have been analyzed.

What I said ^^^, scratch it. I rebooted a second time, ran MBAM again, deleted the detected keys (3, this time), and rebooted again. Just ran MBAM and it found nothing!!! So it looks like my computer is clean for now. I'm definitely buying the Pro version of this product.

Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Seriously, it's hard to convey how excited I am over the internet, but you basically saved me from having a dud computer for 2 weeks. Once again, thank you, and I hope you have a great holiday!! :)
