noknojon Posted June 20, 2011 ID:443385 Share Posted June 20, 2011 Hi mariorenzi -Please try the directions below, as you may be trying to run 2 versions of Malwarebytes at the same time. If the program is already installed (or partially installed) you can fully clean it out and then start fresh.Download and run mbam-clean.exe from hereIt will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very importantAfter the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from hereNote: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro versionLaunch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it.Thank You -
mariorenzi Posted June 21, 2011 Author ID:443677 Share Posted June 21, 2011 Thanks for your help, I had not been able to install the program in 'Program Files (x86)' directory so i've created a 'Malwarebytes" folder in C drive and the problem has been solved. The Pro version does'nt let me enter in some pages, but I need to enter anyway, how can I solve this issue? Thank you.
exile360 Posted June 21, 2011 ID:443701 Share Posted June 21, 2011 It sounds like you have a permissions issue in your Program Files (x86) folder if Malwarebytes wasn't able to create its folder there. As for blocking pages, please take a look at Section G of our FAQ. It explains how the Website Blocker works and how to use it. Specifically to address your question:How can I add an IP so it won't be detected and can access a site I need to?Visit the site and incur an IP block. Then right-click on the Malwarebytes system-tray icon after the block notification appears, and choose Add to Ignore List.
