Cant See Icons Help!

just a thought here , something to try ...

right click on the desktop , there will be a box that opens ... make sure that "show desktop" (or icons) is checked .

beyond that ... wait until someone else who knows more posts some information .

or , you may still be/are infected .

in that case start a new topic in the HJT section , start here :

Just finished running malware Bytes deleted the crap and restarted when i did that ammy icons were going from desktop and start menu help me if you can this has never happened to me before Im running windows Vista

ok i got the main icons to show up on the desktop but i cant put any new one on there like internet explorer or anything the only one that are on desktop now are control panal, Network, Computer but everytime i go to put another icon on there it disapears

Hello, and Welcome to Malwarebytes

Download unhide.exe saving it to your desktop: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/unhide.exe

Right click on unhide.exe and select Run as administrator (In case you have Vista or Win7)

Reboot

This will unhide folders/files that were set to be hidden by the infection you had.

Let me know if that solved your problem.
