PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am experiencing a solid update error of the form PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING(12163,0,IsInternet Connected). I have restarted my router and reconnected my PC to the network.

I am running MB version 1.51.0.12 on MS Vista Home Premium SP2.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

Hello Jim,

Are you running BitDefender AV or using a proxy server or an ISA firewall?

Please run the following scanner and send back the logs.

Download
DDS
and save it to your desktop

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click
dds.scr
to run the tool.

When done, the
DDS.txt
will open.

Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

  1. DDS.txt

  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please include the following logs in your next reply:
    DDS.txt
    and
    Attach.txt

Twice I tried to update the trial version which came with the latest update on the free version. I accepted the trial version and now it won't update. I'm getting this error message...........PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATE (0, 0, create file). I never had a problem with the free version. What's with the trial. Why won't it update?
