Is there protection from infostealer.coinbit bitcoin wallet theif

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I want to know if the latest release of malwarebytes protects against this threat. If so what files are identified as malicious by malwarebytes and what does malwarebytes do in order to prevent the transmission of bitcoins wallet file across the internet through email or FTP. If there is no protection against this trojan then when will their be protection against it. Symantec has already upgraded their system to protect against this. Please provide as much info as possible.

Hi J -

If you are using Symantic Antivirus programs, then I think you should be well covered, from the information you have posted -

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program will usually not release internal information on the program specifics -

If this is a Virus then it is always ideal to have a good Antivirus program along with Malwarebytes to fully protect yourself -

If you are not sure please add this item and any details to The New Malware Threats section here http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showforum=51 -

Thank You -
