Wondering why update failed

My updates are working fine on this end, are you still having issues?

Please provide following details, so that someone may be able to assist you:

  • OS version including 32/64-bit
  • Installed Security Product(s) including Firewall and Program Versions
  • MBAM version (current 1.51.0.1200) (Free or Pro)
  • Definition version (current 6845)
  • Do you use a router to connect to Internet
  • Do you have a corporate firewall or use a proxy

Sorry if that is a confusing msg - I downloaded the update and definitions and everything is working fine now. My question was - I wonder why I needed to reinstall the program - it was working fine until the failure to update. I was wondering if somehow the software got corrupted or something stopped it from working properly. Thanks.

Well glad to hear its working fine now. From time to time it is possible some files on a hard drive get corrupt and in your case a re-install of Malwarebytes worked. Now that it is updated, run a quick scan to make sure nothing is found.
