."I have this generic host win32 problem and i have downloaded fixes and the last of which was eset online scanner and so far this morning i have not had the generic host win32 thingy pop up. fingers crossed. But while reading many posts i was alarmed to read that norton is not considered a anti virus but a virus itself. That my pc is opened now to all sorts of threats and hacks. Well i do believe that in the bowels of this machine somewhere there is a spy of sorts. because everytime i am online i get a phone call saying my computer is at risk and that would i allow them to remotely connect to my pc to help fix all problems. Firstly how do they know i have a computer and that i am having problems and are they "in hereeeeeeeeeeee" " I HAVE ALSO BEEN TRYING TO GET WINDOWS FIREWALL AND UPDATES TO WORK AND NOTHING. WENT TO A FORUM ON HERE AND FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS OF MBAM SENTINAL WHO WAS HELPING SOMEONE ELSE AND DONE EVERYTHING HE SAID AND STILL THE GENERIC HOST WIN32 WINDOW STILL COMES UP AND I STILL CANNOT LOAD WINDOWS FIREWALL OR UPDATES......HELP PLEASE

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post only DDS.txt directly into your reply.
